I drove to Reese Witherspoon's house today to drop off her food! Unfortunately I didn't get to meet her :( but it was cool to drive around her neighborhood...beautiful houses!

My co-worker told me about this website that I thought was really cool: http://www.zillow.com/

I canceled my internet at home so I'm at Jerry's place stealing internet and air conditioning. I decided I needed to cut cost in order to buy a mac book...the back to school deal is going on ^_^. Did anyone skip work to stand in line to get an iphone?

I'm having trouble with my LJ...I can't see any of your entries...

This last weekend we went to a BBQ at my supervisors place in Hermosa Beach. It was nice, they had their own private rooftop view of the ocean and they hired someone to man the grill and serve drinks. As Jerry put it, it was a bunch of older people with a whole different income level. Afterwards we went to watch Ratatouille...great movie...except when you see all the rats scurrying away together...yuck!

On Sunday we did a whole lot of nothing. We had In-N-Out which then caused food coma so we passed out and woke up again around 6 pm. Oh...there was a full moon that night! So pretty! It looked like a giant cookie. After dinner we decided to walk around the neighborhood and look for apartments that had "for rent" signs taking...we're a bit strange.

Another busy month:
My parents might come visit this weekend
Next weekend we're going to meet Jerry's cousin's newborn daughter...what does that make her? His 2nd cousin? Whatever...cute baby!
The following weekend...the most important event...I can't wait!!!

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry midterm.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic(absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the
temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the
temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,"and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

The government today announced that it is changing its emblem from an Eagle to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the government's political stance:

A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of dicks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.

Sitting at another coffee/bubble tea (a.k.a. boba)/food place in Westwood called ISO. It’s cute and quiet with plenty of college students studying away. I had a fun and somewhat productive week. Every Thursday there’s this thing called The Bar Review, which is basically and excuse for everyone to get drunk. This week it was in Santa Monica at a bar called 217 (http://www.lounge217.com/) it was small, but nice. We got there kind of early so it was much easier to get a drink. I didn’t know what to get so I asked the bartender to make me a girly drink and it was very yummy. Too bad I couldn’t understand a word he said so I don’t know what the hell it’s called. Then Jerry’s law school friends showed up and their mission of the night was to get trashed (one of the guys found out his ex-girlfriend was dating someone else and another guy got dumped). Jerry got drunk drunk drunk because his friend Matt wanted to see his “inner beast.” We danced until I couldn’t stand the pain of my black Guess pumps anymore…they pinch my feet, but I LOVE them!

We went to Eric’s birthday party, Jerry and him grew up together in Dallas and apparently had many sleepovers together…that’s all the dirt I could get :(. We went to this Italian restaurant called C & O Trattoria in Marian Del Ray. They had refillable bread rolls that were delicious! We had calamari, stuffed mushrooms, pasta, and chocolate cake! So yummy! Also, they make you sing-along to “That's Amore", which was fun. Then after dinner we went to this place called, Crazy Hook in K-Town that was decorated with pirate stuff…it was interesting. Then it was my turn to get drunk drunk drunk. Usually you get the birthday boy drunk, but the girls in the group decided to order a large bottle of peach flavored soju. I took 3 straight shots and it made me tipsy. It was a fun night and I meet a lot of new people.

Watched UW vs. USC game, which I believe we should have won. USC sucks! It was a very intense game. I don’t know how guys watch sports so much. I get really emotional when I root for a team…it’s stressful. Later that night I ended up playing Risk w/ Jerry and I got my butt kicked. I have to admit that game was actually kind of fun…does that make me a nerd?

My parents are coming to visit me this weekend. I’m really nervous…

I’m trying to understand the crazy highways and roads, and plus the lack of friends. However, I know it will just take sometime to adjust. I’m currently sitting at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf sipping on some hot tea and working on finding an apartment and job. I wanted to go to Starbucks because it reminds me of Seattle, but they don’t have free internet. Anyway, I should get back to work. I miss everyone! I’ll try to update when things are looking better.

My face is numb! I keep hitting my face and lips, but I can't feel anything. The worst part is not being able to feel my tongue; I think I bit it a couple times. My dentist suggested I switch out my old fillings for new clear ones so I decided to get them all down since I might not have time in L.A. Traffic was pretty bad so I ended up being 25 min late for my appointment and the receptionist was really snotty about it...biotch! I ran in and was like…I’m sorry I’m really late! Then she was like yeahhh…30 min late! Gerrr! I was able to get a later appointment w/ a different dentist so I went and grabbed breakfast to kill the time. I was really cranky after being stuck in traffic and missing my appointment so I thought getting a pizza bagel w/ sunrise tomato cream cheese and a coffee @ my favorite coffee shop in Puyallup would make me feel better. I drove all the way down there from Federal Way only to find that it closed down! I was so disappointed! All I was thinking about on my way down was how yummy a pizza bagel would taste! I ended up driving all the way back to Federal Way and getting breakfast @ Starbucks. They didn't have bagels there either so I got a cinnamon swirl coffee cake and a vanilla latte, which took forever! I had to ask the barista several times about my drink. I don't think he believed that I ordered a drink b/c he asked to see my receipt and then he told me that he would make it, but he didn't! I had to ask another barista for my drink and then I had to gulp it down b/c I had to go to my dentist appointment! Gerrrrr!

Other than that, I’m still working on getting a job so I don’t have to feel like such a bum when ppl ask what I’m up to. I’m having some issues with the living situation, but I’m in denial and still determined to leave Seattle on the 14th. My roommate to be said in her email that she’s having work done on her place b/c there was a leak in the bathroom that went into the living room and she’s still working on it. What to do what to do.

A week without internet sure has been weird. I've been staying at my grandpa's place, which is like the countryside. This week has been filled with shopping, home cooked meals, swimming, trying not to kill my cousins, and watching Korean soap operas (so addicting). I miss hanging out with everyone!

Jul. 1st, 2006 @ 02:02 pm Update from Taiwan
I'm sweating like a mofo in order to write in my LJ. I'm at Jerry's house and the computer is in the only room without air conditioning :(! I guess I'll start with the most recent events.

Yesterday we went up to Taipei with Jerry's NEHS crew to watch Superman @ the IMAX theater in 3-D. After the movie we went to a night market to have dinner. It was so hot and there were tons of people around. I wanted to shop so bad! There were tons of shops and cute shoes for really cheap, but we were with a bunch of boys and they wanted food and to find somewhere with AC. My shopaholic girls I was in shoe heaven! Everything is so cute and shiny...I get really distracted. I already bought 3 pairs of shoes and I still want more! Anyone else want shoes? I think we're going shopping later today ^_^

We went to a mushroom hot pot, which was really cool. You know those wasabi peas? They have wasabi mushroom chips. We're constantly eating and I'm getting really fat.

The flight to Taiwan was pretty bad. Jerry sat next to some weird and gross looking guy that coughed and sneezed the whole time so Jerry and I are a little sick. I sat in front of some guy that kept kicking my chair. Also, when he would get up out of his seat he would grab my chair and sometimes he would grab my hair if I didn't lean forward. The movies sucked too so I basically spent most of my time in and out of sleep.

Oh...I got my haircut and highlighted. She thinned out my hair, which I didn't want but by the time I realized what she was doing it was too late. It will grow back...

I think that basically all...I'll try to post pictures if I can. Does anyone want anything? Please tell me. I have one empty suitcase to fill up ^_^

It's soooooo hot!
